The Department for Perform and Pensions will be taken fully to court – by a solitary mum who claims Universal Credit forced her into financial obligation.

The benefits that are controversial had been introduced as one system to restore six advantages: Child Tax Credit, Working Tax Credit, Jobseeker’s Allowance, Income help, Employment help Allowance and Housing Benefit.

Nichola Salvato – a professional advantages advisor -is seeking a judicial report about guidelines that force UC claimants to pay for up-front for childcare, states the Mirror.

The Department for Perform and Pensions (DWP) states the insurance policy would be to avoid fraudulence.

But Nichola’s formal legal claim, supported by Save the kids, alleges the guideline is illegal, discrimination and breaches the European meeting on Human Rights.

The 48-year-old, whom lives with child Sofia, told the Mirror she had been obligated to cut her hours and borrow ?2,000 from payday loan providers and family to handle childcare expenses.
